Welcome to Haiku Diem, where I've been posting one new haiku every day since July 9th, 2010!

You can read the most recent eight days' worth in the panel to the right, and see them all through the Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ links below.

You can receive each day's haiku by "liking" the Facebook page, following the Twitter feed, adding the Google+ page to your circles, or subscribing to the RSS feed.

Note: In the first year of Haiku Diem, I followed the popular 5-7-5 form for my haiku. (Five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third.) For Year Two, I've switched to 3-5-3.

About me

I make my living as a software engineer for Google, and live by writing. In addition to these daily haiku, I've completed a couple of YA novels that I'm currently shopping around to publishers, and am the creator of a collaborative storytelling game.  shadow of
 a bare branch falling
 on this page

 moon and cloud
 sun’s reflected light
 a soft rain
day 5661-25-2012
 disappears
 appears the night dance
 moon and cloud
day 5651-24-2012
 crying blue
 red silver the trout
 disappears
day 5641-23-2012
 of water
 the empty skies sing
 crying blue
day 5631-22-2012
 a soft rain
 obscuring this world
 of water
day 5621-21-2012

 unexpectedly
 desolate
