Starting July 9th, 2010, I'm going to try writing one new haiku every day!

They'll strictly follow the traditional structure of five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third, though they won't always be descriptions of natural phenomena, as traditional haiku usually are. In fact, they'll more often take their subject matter from my urban life in this modern, high-tech world.

All the haiku will, of course, be my own original creations, and I'll do my best to make them genuinely good poems. I hope that you, my readers, will enjoy them!

You can receive each day's haiku by "liking" the Haiku Diem Facebook page, following its Twitter or Buzz feeds, or subscribing to its blog's RSS feed.
